Magic Eden is a popular NFT marketplace that is well-known for its extensive Solana collections. It currently ranks as the second-largest marketplace for multi-chain NFTs. Originally, Magic Eden only supported Solana, but now you can also find Ethereum-based NFTs on the site.

Here’s how you can buy an NFT on Magic Eden

Step 1

Go to magiceden.io

If you have a Solana wallet extension enabled in your browser, a pop-up may prompt you to enter your password before you continue to navigate through the platform.

Step 2

Look up NFT collections through the search bar.

Alternatively, you may browse through popular collections or auctions. Click on the marketplace on the left sidebar to see your options. You may choose to filter the results by blockchain, floor price, and other parameters.

Step 3

Once you find a collection you like, you may sort the NFTs by price.

Step 4

To narrow down your search, you can filter results based on attributes. Click on the funnel icon or type in the attribute in the search bar.

Step 5

If you find an NFT you want, click the “Buy Now” button or click on “Details” under the NFT image to find out more before making the purchase.

Step 6

A prompt will ask you to connect your wallet. Depending on which blockchain the NFT is on, select a wallet from the list, then approve the transaction.

For this example, we will use Phantom. Learn how to set up a Phantom wallet here.

Step 7

If you buy an NFT on a different blockchain while browsing through different collections, you may need to switch to a different wallet. Click on your profile at the upper right corner and select “Connect a different wallet” then you can approve the transaction.

Step 8

After buying an NFT, a confirmation will appear, and you may now see your NFT under “My Items” in your Magic Eden profile.

You can also view your NFTs, or digital collectibles, within your Phantom wallet.
