Being in the Web3 space involves so much more than just buying crypto and NFTs. Communities play a huge role in creation, launch, and support of NFT projects. To make the most of the experience, it is best for you to join and actively participate in different communities.

You can find them on Facebook, Telegram, Discord, and other social media platforms. Currently, Twitter is the best starting point when looking for NFT projects.

Here’s how to join an NFT community:

Step 1

Search for the community on social media. If you want to explore the different communities out there, just type “NFT” and choose from among the results.

You can search for Facebook groups that post about NFTs.

You can also find several groups on LinkedIn.

Twitter gives you the most options. It is the preferred platform for NFT communities.

Step 2

When you find an NFT community you like, check the profile for links to its Discord server or the other platforms it uses. Remember, some communities are cash grabs and scams, so carefully check the details before selecting one to join.

Step 3

Join the community.

If the community is on Discord, accept the invite to join the server.

You will need to complete several steps before you can interact with the rest of the community. Follow instructions to verify your identity.

Different servers follow a different series of steps. Some require only a few clicks for you to get in. Others have additional requirements, like selecting a role and agreeing to server rules.

Step 4

Introduce yourself, chat with other members of the community, and make friends!

If the community is not active on Discord, they may be on Telegram. Join through the Telegram link and start interacting with your fellow members.

Step 5

Don’t forget to participate in calls and meetings. Join Twitter spaces, Discord town halls, Facebook lives, Zoom meets, or other events hosted by your NFT community. This is a great way to get to know the other members better.

Most of all, have fun! Communities exist to support you, so if you find one you like, do your best to support it too!
