Talisman is a non-custodial, independently audited multi-chain wallet that can be downloaded as a browser extension. It allows you to track your portfolio across multiple networks and earn rewards through staking. Plus, gives you the option of supporting your favorite Polkadot projects by letting you participate in crowdloans.
Here’s a step-by-step guide for creating your own Talisman wallet.
Head over to Talisman.xyz and click “Download the wallet.”
Add the browser extension.
Once the download is complete, access the extension on your browser.
Get started.
Create a secure password.
Agree to the privacy settings.

Create a new Polkadot or Ethereum account.
Choose a name for your account.
Copy your recovery phrase in the correct order and keep it somewhere safe where no one can find it.
Important note: Never give out your private key or recovery phrase to anyone or any website. If you do so, malicious actors will have complete access to your funds and you may never retrieve them again. It is highly recommended to write your recovery phrase down and keep it in a safe and secure place. If you lose your seed phrase, Talisman won't be able to help you get your wallet back, and your funds will be permanently gone.
Your wallet is now ready to use. Tap “Enter Talisman” to continue.
On your dashboard, click “Receive.”
Select a token.
Select the account you will use to receive the funds.
Scan the QR code with the sender’s device. Alternatively, you may copy and paste your wallet address to share it with the sender.
Once the sender has your Talisman address, they can start sending you crypto.
On your Talisman dashboard, select “Send.”
Select a token.
Paste the wallet address of the recipient.
Enter the exact amount you wish to send and click ‘Review.”
Review the details and confirm the transaction.
Wait for the transaction to process.
To track its progress, you may view the transaction on a blockchain explorer.
You may also check the details in your transaction history.
Congratulations! You have successfully sent crypto from your Talisman account.
Although Talisman currently doesn’t have an app yet, the browser extension is straightforward and easy to use. Plus, it makes staking and crowdloans more accessible, even for users on a budget.
